Excitement Builds!
As the year comes to an end, a few things have happened. Most of us received official responses that our orders have been accepted, and I am one of the first in line! I want to thank Dave Smith and his team, including Jim Schenk, Jason Lavigne, and Dave Lindsey for believing in Team Atlanta and the FFR crew that will be heavily involved in this build.
Since I received this letter, I figured I should start working on acquiring a donor vehicle. I am currently limiting my focus on a 2006 Impreza WRX. The 2006 has aluminum control arms, which are desired, as well as what is rumored a beefier transmission. I have a bid in on a WRX that has rear end damage. I should know the first of January if I won the bid or not. If not I will keep searching.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
I will leave you with the Factory Five 818 introduction video from Dave Smith:
Nothing much to report
Factory five has gone back into work mode. The Performance Racing Industry(PRI) Trade Show is this weekend, November 29th through December 1st. It is rumored that the 818R will be in a booth at the show, so if you live in the Southeast, you may want to attend this show. Of course this is an industry show, so you have to prove you work in the industry. Check the PRI website for details, http://www.performanceracing.com/tradeshow/

Rumor is SEMA was a huge success. I have heard so many positive comments about the build, fit, finish, and options from many different people.
